Gulab Jamun
Serves: 6–8

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup khoya (milk solids)
  • 2 tbsp maida (all-purpose flour)
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • 2 tbsp milk (as needed)
  • Oil or ghee for frying
  • Syrup: 1½ cups water + 1 cup Melvia Monk Fruit Sweetener + 2 cardamom pods + a few saffron strands

Method:

  1. Mix khoya, flour, and baking soda; knead into a smooth dough with milk.
  2. Shape into small balls.
  3. Fry on low heat until golden.
  4. Prepare syrup: simmer water with sweetener, cardamom, and saffron for 8–10 minutes.
  5. Soak the fried jamuns in warm syrup for 2–3 hours before serving.
